Are we a British pub? Irish pub? French bar?

Well The Pub was until 2023 a Scottish Pub! The answer is not easy, so we asked some regulars and Chat GPT, and the answers were pretty cool, which we are happy to be!

“Irish pubs are known for their friendly and communal atmosphere. They often serve as social hubs where people gather to enjoy good conversation, live music, and a sense of camaraderie”

“A British pub, short for "public house," is a traditional establishment in the United Kingdom that serves alcoholic beverages, primarily beer, ale, and cider, along with food. Pubs play a central role in British social culture and are often seen as community gathering places. Increasingly modern pubs serve craft or locally made artisanal beers.

“The culture of drinking in France is typically more relaxed and social compared to some other countries, with an emphasis on enjoying drinks as part of a meal or social gathering, often served with small tapas style dishes”

“Pubs often serve as a social hub for the local community. They host events such as quiz nights, live music, and sports screenings. Many have darts boards, pool tables, or other games.””

“The food served in pubs is often simple bar snacks like crisps and nuts”

“French bars serve a wide variety of wines, often with a focus on French regional wines. You can often ask to try some for free”

We couldn’t put it better ourselves -and say yes to all of this! Come and find out for yourself!
